Diamond, not a simulant
A lab-grown diamond is produced in a controlled environment and shares the diamond crystal structure and essentially the same chemical, physical and optical properties as natural diamond. Cubic zirconia and moissanite are different materials.
How it is grown
HPHT and CVD are two production methods. Their names describe the growth process, not a complete quality grade. Evaluate the individual stone and any disclosed post-growth treatment rather than choosing solely by the process label.
What to check
Read the laboratory-grown disclosure, weight, measurements, colour, clarity and relevant comments on the report. Inspect its images or video and use the issuing laboratory's official lookup to compare the record.
How to buy with clear expectations
Choose the visual result and budget that suit you. A catalogue image is a reference, and an indicative price must be confirmed for an available stone. Get the exact specification, report details and commercial terms in writing.
