One carat equals 0.2 grams. Shape and depth affect how that weight is distributed, so equally heavy stones can look different in size.
Use both measurements
Compare length, width and depth from each report. For similar proportions, linear dimensions scale approximately with the cube root of weight, not in direct proportion to it. A visualiser is an illustration; the individual measurements take priority.
