What each term means
Polish concerns the finish of facet surfaces. Symmetry concerns the alignment and regularity of the stone's geometry. The report may list them separately from an overall cut assessment.
Compare the whole stone
These labels alone do not describe every aspect of brilliance or visible beauty. Review proportions, shape, dimensions and the actual appearance alongside them. Compare candidates using the same laboratory terminology and resolve any unexplained difference in the offer.
